For many years an elderly gentleman in Costa Mesa decorated his yard as a Charlie Brown Christmas extravaganza. When he passed away his son tried to keep it going for a while but the house eventually went into foreclosure. The city obtained the Christmas decorations and now sets them up in front of City Hall every year. It happens to be walking distance from the home of my best friend, Bethany. We had a great afternoon with Bethany, David and Norah and once the sun set we headed out for a Charlie Brown Christmas.

First things first…Bundle up for the walk:DSC_0003

Manners dictate that if you have a special treat, you should offer some to your guests:

+Last night we headed to the zoo for their Christmas Jungle Lights:photo (10)Some of the reptiles that hide and sleep during the day were out and active. DSC_0028 DSC_0029 DSC_0035 DSC_0037 The best things we saw couldn’t be captured on camera as I did not want to startle the animals with a flash but this one taken without a flash (by Andy) did actually turn out pretty well:
