T’was two days after Christmas when all through the house,
the children were playing with giggles and shouts.
Their fevers had broken but not before sharing
with daddy, for whom, mommy is now caring.
A few days prior, festivities abounded
pictures were taken, delicious food mounded.
At church we celebrated the birth of our King
with God’s message of grace and carols we did sing.
Twelve years it took, for all Shaffer boys to appear
at the same time together for this time of year.
Now here with their wives, (and two little ones!) in tow
Linda and Jed have ALL their ducks in a row!
There is still a lot of fun to be had
If we can lick this flu bug for good, we’ll sure be glad.
In the mean time, the healthy grown ups dispersed
in conference calls and various workouts immersed.
Movies and bowling, sibling outings and riding…
We’ll be busy for sure, in good times abiding.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year’s to you
from our family to yours (We hope you don’t get the flu!)
These girls were rocking 100.4* fevers during these pictures:

Looks like a fun Christmas! Glad you are all having a great time–and hope Andy is well soon (and Mommy doesn’t get sick!). The pictures are almost like being there. I can well imagine all the noise, excitement, wrapping paper heaped everywhere, and little-girl giggles! Fun times. Blessings to you all!!! And Happy New Year too. (Sorry, no rhymes were coming my way as I sat down to write this today! Oops, there’s one!).
Thanks mom! I hope you guys are enjoying having Faith in town. Happy New Year and lots of love!!
