‘Best day EVER!’ is something Trinity says with considerable regularity. I kind of want to say to her in a Spanish accent, “You keep on using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.”  But it’s a good thing she is so happy and excited about life. Yesterday the girls and I had a mommy daughter date that certainly qualifies (by Trin’s standards) as a Best day EVER!

We started out our day at the Anasazi Cliff Dwellings at Manitou Springs. Trin had read about the Anasazi earlier this year so it was especially fun to walk in and around this piece of history.

After all that exploring, we needed sustenance. So we headed into town and found a fun pizza place. Good pizza and rootbeer on tap. What more could a girl want? Oh yeah….fun high stools to sit on AND a server who thought the girls were so sweet she gave them a chocolate milkshake for free!With full tummies and happy hearts we headed back to our car to drop off our left-over pizza only to find a ticket on the windshield. I had NO idea you had to pay for parking!!! 😦  But upon closer inspection, this is what I found:I’ve never been so happy to be the recipient of a random act of kindness!! 😀

In mommy’s book this already qualified the day as a ‘Best day EVER,’ but for the girls it needed one more thing. Playground time: Seriously. Best day EVER!
