The Great Wall of China. It is one of the seven wonders of the world and can be seen from space. I promised myself I would not publish more than 10% of the 1200 photos I took in China on my blog. That seems like more than enough to cover the trip. Even while thinking about ways to consolidate the experience and wrap up the China series I knew that The Great Wall deserved an entire post of it’s own.

We hiked the Jinshanling to Simitai portion which is far less visited than other sections and includes many unrestored portions. We were treated to 80 degree weather and blue skies – very unusual for that time of year. It was a beautiful day in one of the world’s most remarkable locations:
